In the first part of 2013 I took five trips spanning 38 days, 35,677 miles and visited 14 cities and 5 countries. I only have two trips planned for the rest of the year (both to San Francisco) so my days of back to back trips is probably over. I had alot of fun traveling but it will be nice to be home for longer periods of time and be able to work on some projects that I’ve been putting off for a while.
Has anyone seen a WordCamp talk about the Open Source movement in general? I looked around for one but I didn’t see any.
My ideal WordCamp talk on this subject would be one that was broken down into three parts:
- The history and origins of the Open Source movement.
- How WordPress has contributed to the Open Source movement.
- What we can do to further the Open Source movement.
I’m tired of likes so I removed them.
I want to be able to hand out something to people I talk to about the various products I work with. Kinda of a business card for products. Something to remind them to check out whatever product we were talking about. We have some postcards that we hand out at events but those are too big for me to carry around so I thought I could make a business card size version.
Here is the first one I’m getting made, I hope to get VaultPress, Akismet, Hiring, and WordPress ones made a little later on.
Lately it seems like every blog I visit is using Twenty Thirteen, which is great because it is an awesome theme, but I do like my individuality. So I decided to change the colors of this blog. I’m not a designer and I’m terrible with colors so I just took the header and other colors into Photoshop and inverted them. I think it turned out ok.
